Calendly

Connect your Calendly account and the bookings people make on your Calendly pages come into ConnectWiz:

  • In the diary and on the contact card, with a Calendly badge, next to your ConnectWiz appointments and your CRM's.
  • They start appointment flows. A booking, a cancellation or a move in Calendly is an An appointment changes trigger like any other — so a WhatsApp or SMS confirmation can go out the moment someone books. See Flows.
  • Booking into Calendly — when you switch it on, the panel's New appointment and Wiz create the booking in Calendly itself, which sends its own confirmation e-mail and calendar invite.

Calendly is connected as a CRM, not as a channel: Calendly has no messages, so nothing from Calendly arrives in the Inbox.

Before you start

Available once ConnectWiz's Calendly application is registered

Until ConnectWiz's application is registered with Calendly, Calendly is listed under Settings → Integrations with a Coming soon badge and cannot be connected. It opens by itself as soon as it is ready.

A paid Calendly plan

Calendly sends booking events, and accepts bookings made by another system, only on a paid Calendly plan (Standard or higher). On a free plan ConnectWiz still reads the diary, but no events arrive — so flows do not start — and booking from ConnectWiz is refused by Calendly.

Booking platforms are a paid-plan feature of ConnectWiz too (Booking platforms under Settings → Features); appointments themselves must be on.

Where the details come from

  1. Sign in to Calendly with the account whose diary you want to connect.
  2. In ConnectWiz, open Settings → Integrations → Calendly and press Connect with Calendly.
  3. Approve the access on Calendly's own page. No password or key is typed into ConnectWiz; you can withdraw the access from Calendly at any time.
  4. You come back to ConnectWiz, which shows the connected account, its time zone and whether booking events are being received.

Whose bookings are read. If the account you connected administers your Calendly organization, every member's bookings are read. Otherwise only that account's own bookings are.

A Calendly account can be connected to one ConnectWiz workspace.

Which contact a booking belongs to

Calendly knows a person only by the e-mail address they typed when booking. ConnectWiz links the booking to a contact when exactly one contact has that address. If several contacts share it, or none has it, the booking stays in the diary without a contact — and a booking never creates a contact.

Letting ConnectWiz book into Calendly

Let ConnectWiz book into Calendly is off by default. When you switch it on:

  • the panel's and the phone app's New appointment offers your Calendly event types as services and books into Calendly;
  • Wiz can offer free times and book (see Appointments).

The booking is made in the customer's name with their e-mail address, in your Calendly's time zone. Before writing, ConnectWiz checks that the time is still free and that the same person is not already booked at that time.

100 a day. Calendly lets a non-enterprise account create 100 bookings a day this way. The settings screen shows how many were used today; the 101st is refused by name, not sent.

Disconnecting

Disconnect removes ConnectWiz's event subscription and access from Calendly. Calendly bookings stop appearing in ConnectWiz; contacts that were matched stay linked, so reconnecting the same account shows the same people again.
