Referral programme

The Referrals tab on the Account page lets you invite other businesses to the platform and earn a commission when they subscribe to a paid plan. You share a personal link, and when someone signs up through it and pays for their subscription, a share of what they pay is credited to you.

Programme terms

The exact commission rate, how long it runs, the hold period, and the minimum payout are set by the platform and may change. The numbers in this guide are the current defaults; the Referrals tab always shows the figures that apply to you.

Opening the page

Open the user menu (your avatar, bottom-left of the sidebar), choose Account, then open the Referrals tab. The page is available to administrators only.

At the top of the tab you will find:

  • Your referral code — a short, unique code tied to your workspace.
  • Your referral link — your code built into a sign-up address, for example https://app.example.com/register?ref=YOUR-CODE.

Use the Copy buttons to copy either one. Share the link wherever you like — in an email, a message, or on your website. Anyone who registers a new workspace through your link is recorded as your referral.

One attribution, for good

A new workspace can be attributed to one referrer, recorded once at sign-up. It never changes afterwards, and you cannot refer your own workspace. If someone opens your link but the code is no longer valid, their registration still succeeds — they simply are not attributed to anyone.

How you earn

When a workspace you referred is on a paid plan and pays an invoice, a commission is credited to you:

  • The commission is a share of that paid invoice (for example, 20%).
  • It keeps applying to that workspace's paid invoices for a set period after they registered (for example, the first 12 months) — so an active referral can earn you a commission every billing cycle within that window.
  • The Free plan never earns a commission, and only real, paid invoices count.

Each new commission starts as pending during a short hold period (for example, 30 days) that covers refunds and chargebacks. After the hold passes with no refund, it becomes approved and counts toward your balance. If the invoice is later refunded or fails, a pending or approved commission is reversed and no longer counts.

Your statistics

The summary cards show, at a glance:

  • Referred workspaces — how many workspaces signed up through your link.
  • Active referrals — how many of them have produced at least one commission.
  • Total earned — your lifetime earnings (approved plus already paid out).
  • Pending — commissions still inside their hold period.
  • Available balance — what you can request a payout for right now (approved, not yet paid, and not already locked by an open payout request).

Your commission history

Below the cards, a table lists your commissions, newest first. For each one you see the referred company, the date, the amount, and its status (pending, approved, paid, or reversed).

Privacy

To protect the businesses you refer, the history shows only the company name, the date, the amount, and the status. It never reveals their invoice numbers, contact details, or any other private information.

Requesting a payout

When your available balance reaches the minimum payout (for example, $50.00), the Request payout button becomes available. Selecting it records a payout request for your full available balance and adds it to your payout history with the status requested.

How payouts are settled

Requesting a payout records your request — it does not move money automatically. The platform team reviews and settles payouts manually, and your request waits in the queue until then. The balance in an open request is reserved, so you cannot request the same balance twice.

Your payout history below the button lists each request with its amount, date, and status (requested, approved, paid, or rejected).

Tips

  • Share your link rather than just the code — the link captures the attribution automatically.
  • Referrals only earn once they are on a paid plan and have paid an invoice, so encourage the businesses you refer to choose a plan that fits them.
  • Watch the pending total: those commissions become claimable once their hold period passes.
